Merry Christmas Ya´ll!

For Nana & Pa Kevin, from Felix...

ALMA Christmas Party

We had a great time at the end-of-the-year company party -- Felix had the best time of all, because he could run around freely and tryout all the kids games. There were clowns, activities, good food and I even got my nails done (how cool is that)...didn´t have time but there was a massage table too---with an extremely long wait of course! Cristian got recognized for his participation in Alma´s olympic games earlier this month with a cool medal-- He played ping-pong and soccer for them and did extremely well (this being their first year to participate in a long-standing inter-company tournament, they didn´t expect to win, but made a very good showing!).

Cristian also made quite a stir with his new company band. May I present, drum roll please -- THE ALMA BAND´S first show, LIVE....here´s a little clip for you:

Santa was there too -- and this is what Felix got - how exciting!

Greenland School Cycling Day

Well the title is pretty much self-explanatory, Felix´s school had an extracurricular bicycling day one beautiful Saturday morning. We all did a few blocks around the entire neighborhood then hung out and played for a while. We were really suprised at how nice the day turned out -- next year Felix is going to go on his own bike. Enjoy the pics!

And the Winner is....

Felix won a prize for the art contest that he entered for Cristian´s company! And what´s that, you want to know what kind of prize he won...

It´s a home Rocket Kit -- it´s supposed blast about 50 feet into the air, can´t wait to assemble it with Felix soon. They gave out lots of educational prizes, like telescopes for the older kids who participated. I think it´s great that they are encouraging kids to learn more about astronomy.
Well we´ve had the rocket kit for a couple of weeks now, but have been so busy that we haven´t had the chance, or a nice day outside to do it. The weather´s been really cold, rainy, and generally blah.
Cris is in the north right now so I´m going to go buy the ingrediants we´re missing for the rocket fuel (at the grocery store, lol) so that we will be all set for the next weekend he´s home. I really hope we do it right and amaze Felix.

Alma`s Art Contest

Yes, I know-- this is what happens when you don`t keep up things up todate, major blog overload! Last one for today, promise...
Below is Felix's entry in the Alma art contest for the 4-8 year old age group. Alma, where Cristian works is having this contest for all the worker`s kids to educate everyone on safety procedures. There are some really cool prizes, like telescopes. We`ll let you know next month how he did...it`s the effort that counts though, so without further ado check out Felix`s masterpiece!
